Polokwane City v Cape Town City

Polokwane City desperately need to kick up points when they host Cape Town City at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday.

Rise and Shine currently find themselves rock bottom of the Premiership standings, having only collected 17 points from 21 matches and are already cutting adrift from the rest of the pack.

The Limpopo side have not tasted victory in their last five league matches and were also knocked out of the Nedbank Cup by neighbours Baroka last weekend.

The Citizens, meanwhile, also come off a Cup loss - having been eliminated by Mbombela United - but have picked up seven points from their last three league games.

The Cape side have steadily moved out of relegation trouble but know that any slip-ups will see them entrenched in the dog-fight to avoid the dreaded drop.

City are still missing forward Kermit Erasmus with a hamstring injury but they need the likes of Fagrie Lakay and Shane Roberts to step up in the goal-scoring department.

The game will kickoff at 3:30pm on Sunday from the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
