Polokwane City ready to send players home - Larsen
Polokwane City are preparing to send their players home says head coach Clinton Larsen ahead of Thursday's nationwide lockdown.
With all football activities in South Africa curtailed do to the Coronavirus, Rise and Shine put an end to training sessions at the end of last week.
Players will continue with individual training at home which Larsen admitted was not ideal, but acknowledged that all clubs were in the same boat.
Speaking to Kickoff, he said: "We will have a meeting so that we can release the players.
"We trained up to Friday [last week] and then they've been off for the weekend but after the announcement (by President Cyril Ramaphosa) we didn't go back, so we will meet tomorrow.
"It's going to be difficult for every team because you don't have that rhythm of training together you know. Training individually is not the same.
"You will probably see a lot of teams rush to get back because they have not had a lot of time to train together. So ja, it's going to affect everybody the same you know.
"The important thing now is just for the players to be professional, follow their programme and come back in a good condition so that we can complete the league whenever we are going to."
