Baroka make player signings

Baroka say they have already made "arrangements" over player signings and departures ahead of the new Premier Soccer League season.

All sporting activities have been suspended due to the enforced lockdown as a result of the coronavirus.

Clubs and players have been forced to put a hold to all contract talks and player movements, but Bakgaga say they are in a healthy position with regards to personnel.

It is uncertain if or when the PSL will be able to resume, but Baroka chairman Khurishi Mphahlele told KickOff, his club is not waiting to see what happens.

He said: "I'm not worried about losing players because those who will leave, their contracts end in June, and we've already made arrangements about the new season.

"It's not a good time for me to tell you about those new arrangements, but I can only tell you that we've made some signings for next season."

He added: "If, and that's a big if, the League decides to end the season we must be reasonable and support whatever decision is taken.

"It's affecting us because we are not playing, and if the environment allows we would like to go back on the pitch and compete."
