Highlands Park hold Shalulile in high regard

Highlands Park have looked to dissuade potential suitors from the lure of Peter Shalulile.

The 26-year-old frontman is highly sought after following an impressive campaign with the Lions of the North.

Shalulile has scored 12 goals in his 24 Premier Soccer League games this season, and is just two adrift of leading goalscorer Frank Mhango.

With Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates both reported admirers of the Namibian attacker, Highlands Park co-chairman Larry Brookstone told Power FM it would take a lot to prise the player from the club.

He said: "Peter Shalulile is worth R30 million no doubt."

Brookstone added that based on his current form, Shalulile is rated higher than Belgian based Percy Tau and Keegan Dolly, who plays in France.

"He's rated better than Percy Tau. Rated better than Keagan Dolly," he said.

"And these are international ratings. He's prolific. He is able to assimilate to an environment he does in."
