Tignyemb: I have a special relationship with Larsen
Patrick Tignyemb says he would welcome the chance to work with Clinton Larsen again having credited the Polokwane City boss for helping him throughout his career.
The 34-year-old goalkeeper knows Larsen well from their time at Bloemfontein Celtic together.
Tignyemb last played for Chippa United but was recently released.
And when asked what influence the former Chippa, Golden Arrows and Maritzburg United had on him, Tignyemb opened up about his feelings for Larsen.
Tignyemb told Soccer Laduma: "The only person who understood me was Clinton Larsen. He is like a father to me. I love him too much.
"I am here now because of him. He believed in me. Even when I was off form, he believed in me. If I have a personal problem, I tell him. If I am broke and I don't have money in my pocket, I tell him and he is going to give me something. So, he is my father."
The veteran shotstopper added: "He would give me advice on life and a lot of things. He wants to help me when I finish playing on the coaching side. I have a special relationship with that father of mine. He is the only person who understood me very well. He took time to study me.
"He is someone who is humble and respectful. When you have someone like that the only way you can thank him is to fight for him on the field.
"I will have that opportunity by force, because he is my father. For sure, I will have it," said Tignyemb when asked about being reunited with Larsen. "I am 100% sure it will happen don’t worry."
