'Highlands Park not for sale'
Chairman Brad Kaftel says the owners of Highlands Park hope to "continue for many years to come" with the club amid reports of its imminent sale.
A number of clubs are starting to feel the financial strain of inactivity over the past two months.
Salary cuts and squad trimming are just two options teams have been discussing as a way to trim the wage bill.
Highlands Park was rumoured to be ready to close up shop, with no date yet set as to when a possible resumption of league football could occur.
But speaking to Soccer Laduma, Kaftel refuted the claims.
He said: "We aren't actively looking to sell the club. We have not concluded any such sale.
"The reality is that in business one always has to be open to any situations that may present – that is normal business practices.
"We haven't played football in three months and we are now seeing the effects of Covid-19 all around the world. All businesses are going be challenged significantly in the new world economy.
"We have loved every minute of running Highlands Park and our intention is to continue for many years to come."
