Goss: The competition at Sundowns will be tough
Bidvest Wits goalkeeper Ricardo Goss admits he will have his work cut out at Mamelodi Sundowns to break into the first team.
Sundowns have already agreed terms with Wits to sign Goss, and he is currently in talks regarding his personal terms.
The Brazilians recently secured the services of another goalkeeper Jody February, which means Goss will need to compete with three other glovemen at Chloorkop.
"Look, even when I got to Bidvest Wits I was never the number one goalkeeper when I got here, so I know [what it means] challenging for the number one jersey," Goss told KickOff.
"Even at Sundowns they have Denis Onyango, they have Kennedy Mweene, they have Jody February. They have quality goalkeepers all around.
"So you have to learn as much as possible and try to push for that number one spot."
Meanwhile, Goss is still at Wits and preparing to finish the 2019/20 season on a high by securing silverware for the club before their PSL status transfers to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.
"Look, the guys have been talking on our WhatsApp group chat that we need to keep pushing and don't give up," he added.
"I don't think anyone will go to the pitch to lose. We are going to be focused and try to make sure we win silverware. We want to finish on a high.
"Bidvest Wits is a big team. It's one of the big teams in South Africa. So we want to keep the name up high there even though the team has been sold. But we want to end on a high."
