Confirmed: Suspended Ramagalela wants out of Rise and Shine
Rodney Ramagalela's representative, Mike Makaab, has confirmed the player wants to leave Polokwane City as he is seeking a move to Johannesburg.
Ramagalela is currently suspended by Rise and Shine for reportedly not putting pen to paper on a contract extension.
The striker has been consistently prolific for City over the past two and a half seasons, scoring 23 Premiership goals for Rise and Shine.
However, in the current campaign he has managed just two strikes in 14 starts indicating that he could be unsettled at the outfit from Polokwane.
With that said, Makaab has indicated that the player's suspension is not directly linked to his contract situation.
He told Soccer Laduma: "I have read the article and I am not disputing that Rodney (Ramagalela) has been suspended by Polokwane City, but not as the article states.
"As I understand the charges for the suspension are because of subordination, but I don't have all the facts with me and am sure that they all will come out during the internal hearing.
"The article stated that Rodney has been suspended because he is not wanting to sign a new contract with the club.
"I can tell you that it is not true. Yes Polokwane City do want him to sign a new deal, and I don't have to explain why, he is a top player. I have been involved in all the negotiations up to now.
"Rodney has not signed a new contract because he is looking to relocate to Johannesburg for family reasons, that is the reason why he has not signed."
