Pitso sings the praises of Maboe for Sundowns
Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has praised Lebohang Maboe for his performances for the club in 2018/19.
Maboe moved to the Brazilians from Maritzburg United and has since started to establish himself for the outfit from Pretoria.
In the current campaign he has slotted home five Premiership goals in 16 appearances, including a strike in the most recent 3-0 victory over Black Leopards.
Mosimane told reporters: "Lebo, you must check his performance data. He works very hard and he deserves the credit. The last time he scored was against Kaizer Chiefs (on 5 January) and he hasn't scored ever since.
"He has been playing and somewhere somehow some people are not really happy with him and it's been difficult for him so if he was very close I would run for him because he deserves that break.
"To play for Mamelodi Sundowns it's not an easy team, it's not easy and the poor boy he's been fighting to come into this team and he's not the beginning signing, the favourites to come but he forced himself into the team.
"The boy is strong, mentally strong and good boy off the pitch, good family, those things are important."
Downs are next in action next Tuesday in a CAF Champions League Group A tie in Ivory Coast.
