Mosimane urges South Africans to follow coronavirus best practices

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane has thanked those in the service sector and urged South Africans to help them by abiding by the lockdown regulations.

Domestic football has come to a grinding halt a few months before the end of the current season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The South African government has instituted a strict lockdown as they aim to mitigate the spread of the virus, and Mosimane has voiced his support for those on the frontlines.

"We would like to thank everybody who is on the frontline; the police, the nurses, doctors, the army, volunteers, who are really serving us to save our lives," said Mosimane in a video message on social media.

"Let's make those people's jobs easier by washing our hands regularly, sanitising, keeping social distance and staying at home."
