Meza could leave Sundowns to return to South America
Mamelodi Sundowns are at risk of losing forward Jose Ali Meza when the season concludes as he is considering a move back to South America.
The Venezuelan joined Masandawana in July 2018 and has since racked up 32 appearances, three goals, and three assists across all competitions.
Meza looked set to go out on loan to Maritzburg United at the start of the 2019/20 campaign but ended up staying at Chloorkop, where he has established himself as a valuable member of the squad.
The 29-year-old's contract with Sundowns was extended to allow him to finish the delayed Premiership season, but he could part ways with the club and join Bolivian champions Bolivar for next season.
"My contract ended in June, due to the pandemic they made me a new contract until the end of the current tournament if it continues there would be two more months," Meza told Punto Penal.
"I cannot say that I am going to Bolivar or Oriente because I do not know, I do not close the doors to anyone but I will try to choose the best option for me and my family."
