Swallows coach attracting top-flight interest

Swallows FC head coach Brandon Truter is reportedly attracting interest from a number of Premiership teams.

The former Cape Town All Stars and Richards Bay coach led Swallows to second-place ahead of the currently enforced break.

They picked up 12 wins from 24 games, leaving them seven points behind leaders Ajax Cape Town.

Speaking to Soccer Laduma, agent Basia Michaels confirmed the news but said Truter was committed to helping steer Swallows to the South African top-flight.

She said: "I can confirm there have been inquires made for coach Brandon's services.

"The coach has made it clear to me that he wants to focus on the remainder of the season and steering Swallows back into the Premiership.

"I respect his decision and I have advised the interested parties about that. I do believe that his request is fair and that then means we will deal with these talks in quick time should it come to that – things will move faster than usual because of the current Covid situation."
