Pitso reveals problem with star at Mamelodi Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says he has a problem with new signing Emiliano Tade as he believes he is a number 10 and not a number nine.

Tade had a superb start to life with Sundowns as he scored on debut against ASEC Mimosas in a CAF Champions League Group A 3-1 victory last Friday.

The 30-year-old arrived from AmaZulu having impressed by scoring seven goals in 20 appearances in all competitions for Usuthu under coach Cavin Johnson.

He said: "You can't ask for more from Emiliano. I think five or 10 minutes, it's like he has been playing for Sundowns for a long time.

"Composed, typical of South Americans. What a way of introducing yourself to the team.

"He comes with lots of experience, lots of goals. But what is important is to fit in."

Mosimane added that Gaston Sirino was his preferred number 10 and he would have a problem in finding a role for Tade in Sundowns' system.

"The biggest challenge is where to play him. He is not a winger, not a nine, he is a 10. [Gaston] Sirino plays well as a 10 for us. That creates problem for me," Mosimane concluded.
