Kaizer Chiefs v Golden Arrows
A resurgent Kaizer Chiefs have an opportunity to cement their place in the top eight when they take on unpredictable Golden Arrows in Tuesday's Premiership clash at FNB Stadium.
Chiefs come into the Premiership contest on the back of a morale-boosting Nedbank Cup semi-final victory over Chippa United which they won 4-2 on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, Arrows are still in the hunt for a top eight finish in ninth spot although they may be struggling with confidence after being eliminated from the Nedbank Cup in the last four by National First Division outfit TS Galaxy.
With that said, coach Steve Komphela is emphasising the positives for his team. Speaking after the loss to Galaxy, he said: "We needed to score two goals and unfortunately we did not. The minute they equalized they gained confidence and began to play freely.
"I always knew it was going to be a tricky affair against a young hungry TS Galaxy. We now focus on the Premiership as we continue to trust the process."
In team news, attacking midfielder Kabelo Mahlasela is likely to miss out after experiencing severe bleeding following a foot injury.
Happy Mashiane, Itumeleng Khune and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo are longer term absentees as they are out for the season. Danny Phiri is suspended for the away side.
Kickoff in Tuesday's encounter is set for 19:30 in Johannesburg.
