37-year-old Mahamutsa not ready to hang up his boots
Former Free State Stars defender Rooi Mahamutsa aims to continue playing in the Premiership next season despite approaching his 38th birthday on 26 October.
Mahamutsa was released from his contract by Stars after the club's relegation from South Africa's top flight in the final match of the campaign.
The ex-Orlando Pirates centre-back has been playing professional football since 2008 and it seems clear he has no intention of hanging up his boots anytime soon.
He told Kickoff: "We will see where Rooi is going next season.
"I don't know anything about retiring. Yes we've parted ways [with the club] but I'm looking to continue playing."
Meanwhile, Ea Lla Koto reportedly intend to sell players in order to raise funds for their campaign in the second tier in 2019/20.
A source told the same publication: "They want to sell Sifiso Mbhele, they want to sell [Relebogile] Mokhuane, Nyiko Mobbie and [Sibusiso] Hlubi."
