Emotional Tignyemb signs for Chippa United
Former Bloemfontein Celtic stalwart Patrick Tignyemb has called on Siwelele fans to support his decision after he penned a deal elsewhere with Chippa United.
Tignyemb was a loyal servant to Celtic having spent 12-long years in Bloemfontein however his relationship with the club ended on a sour note when he was dismissed in May.
The Cameroonian was said to be the leader of a protest regarding unpaid monies and was subsequently sent packing by Celtic's management.
As such, he has now surfaced at Chippa in Port Elizabeth where he will play his football for the foreseeable future.
He said: "I am not going to be part of Celtic next season. I have signed for Chippa United. I want the Celtic fans to release me from their hearts.
"I want their blessings...to do my job properly at my next club.
"I belong to Bloemfontein, I am from Bloemfontein. Just allow me to go."
It is unclear as the length of the contract he has signed with the Chilli Boys but he will no doubt be a strong contender to be number one for the Clinton Larsen-coached outfit.
