Baroka FC v Black Leopards

Dylan Kerr will come up against his former team when his Baroka FC side meet Black Leopards in a Limpopo derby at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.

Kerr helped Lidoda Duvha escape relegation last season before resigning at the end of the campaign.

The Englishman returned to South African football to replace Wedson Nyirenda at the Bakgaga helm after the Zambian mentor resigned from his role at the end of last year.

But after a good start to his tenure, Kerr has seen his Baroka outfit lose four of their last five games, including their last three on the bounce.

This has given Saturday's opponents Leopards a chance to leapfrog them and move out of the relegation zone. But Kerr's former side have been in similarly poor form to his current one.

Indeed, Lidoda Duvha are coming off the back of two straight defeats and have lost three of their last four in the league.

When the teams met earlier this season, at Thohoyandou Stadium in September 2019, Baroka claimed a 2-0 away win thanks to goals from Phelelani Shozi and Tshediso Patjie.

Leopards have a game in hand over their Limpopo rivals, but that fixture is not an easy one against Bidvest Wits next Tuesday evening.

And Allan Clark's side will be looking to avoid losing to a provincial rival for the second straight game, having gone down to Polokwane City in their most recent fixture.

This time, Lidoda Duvha will be the side looking to come away with the bragging rights in what should be a fiercely-contested relegation scrap.
