Bidvest Wits v Golden Arrows

High-flying Bidvest Wits will be targeting back-to-back wins when Golden Arrows visit BidVest Stadium in the Premiership on Wednesday evening.

Gavin Hunt's men bounced back from a heartbreaking 1-0 defeat to Baroka last time out, as an 81st-minute strike from substitute Gabadinho Mhango secured a 1-0 win over Black Leopards at the start of the month.

And, heading into this midweek clash, the Clever Boys will be acutely aware that another defeat would see them lose ground on table-topping Pirates ahead of a rematch with Baroka this coming weekend.

Having made only his second appearance of the season, against Leopards, Mhango is understandably keen to kick and add to his tally this season.

"For me it's good that I scored last week because I have been out for so long," Mhango was quoted as saying by KickOff.

"So for me to score sometimes it gives me motivation. And the welcoming of me back, it was good I think. I can't talk about the next game for the team. I think we just need to start winning again.

"We want to take each and every game... ja, we'll see from there."

Clinton Larsen's Arrows, meanwhile, head into Wednesday's encounter on the back of a morale-boosting 2-1 triumph over Kaizer Chiefs at the start of the month.

Limbikani Mzava twice held his nerve from the penalty spot to put Abafana Bes'thende 2-0 up at the half-time break, before Leonardo Castro pulled one back for Chiefs.

That result halted a three-match winless streak and lifted Arrows clear of immediate danger in the bottom half of the league standings.

However, one notable absentee is that of midfielder Musa Bilankulu, who is suspended after his sending-off (two yellow cards) against Chiefs.
