Pirates youngster loaned to Witbank Spurs
Orlando Pirates starlet Siphumelele Mbulu has signed for Witbank Spurs on loan, as has Free State Stars' Sihle Gum. Meanwhile, Khayalethu Mjoli has joined permanently from Polokwane City.
Mbulu was promoted to the Buccaneers' senior team in February following impressive performances in their MultiChoice Diski Challenge side. He played all 90 minutes of Pirates' 2-1 win over Free State Stars on the last day of the Premiership season.
However, the club appears to have decided that the 19-year-old is not quite ready to break into their star-studded midfield on a regular basis. He will hope to pick up invaluable experience in the National First Division (NFD).
"We signed Siphumelele Mbulu from Pirates, Sihle Gum from Free State Stars, Khayalethu Mjoli from Polokwane City," Spurs CEO Freddy Mapulane confirmed to Kick Off.
"We are still assessing other PSL players. On paper, the team looks good and ready to compete."
Spurs also sealed the signature of Randy Ngobe earlier this month from Rise and Shine.
