Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane pleased to welcome attacking midfielder Christian Saile Basomboli back to the squad following his one-match suspension.

However, the team will be without Siyabonga Ngezana, who received his fourth booking during their match against Casric Stars on Sunday.

After winning three consecutive matches in both the league and the Nedbank Cup, Chiefs will aim for their fourth triumph when they face Maritzburg United in the DStv Premiership on Saturday at the Harry Gwala Stadium.

Zwane told the media, "It was great to see Dillan Solomons back last week. He won't be on the same fitness level as the rest of the guys, but he is a soldier, always focused, and giving his best all the time. We are going to have to manage him and make sure we don't risk any injuries again.

"We also have Christian Saile back. He was suspended for the last game. Hopefully, we will have a balanced team going forward. We still have Cole Alexander, Reeve Frosler, and Khama Billiat out."

Zwane added, "We lost Phathutshedzo Nange today. We thought he was getting closer to full recovery, and we could get him ready for the game next week by giving him match minutes this week. However, it is one of those things where you don't have everyone available, and we will carry on with the guys at hand until everyone else is fit and ready."

Chiefs and Maritzburg United will meet for the third time this season. Their first encounter was in September at the FNB Stadium, where AmaKhosi won 3-0. The second was in February during the Nedbank Cup round of 32 match at the Harry Gwala Stadium, where Chiefs won 2-0.

AmaKhosi aims to make it a treble of wins over the Team of Choice on Saturday and move up the DStv Premiership table. They currently sit in fourth position with 34 points after 22 matches, while Maritzburg United is fighting for their survival, sitting second from the bottom with 21 points after 22 encounters.

Zwane said, "We are expecting a tough game against Maritzburg United, who are fighting for their lives. It's going to be a difficult one, but we are ready for the challenge."
