Historical Betway Premiership/PSL points table positions

Mamelodi Sundowns have won the PSL title 15 times since the league's inception since in 1996. Known as the Brazilians, the Tshwane club have dominated proceedings as they have taken the trophy for the last eight seasons.

Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, have been left behind with four titles apiece, the last of which came in 2015 when Amakhosi won the trophy.

SuperSport United had a golden period under the guidance of head coach Gavin Hunt, winning three consecutive titles (2008, 2009, 2010) while inaugural winners Manning Rangers, Santos (2022) and Bidvest (2017) Wits have one title each.

Pitso Mosimane stands as the most successful head coach with five winner’s medals, while Rhulani Mokwena, Gavin Hunt, Gordon Igesund and the late Ted Dumitru each have four.

The most decorated player is goalkeeper Denis Onyango with 12 league titles, all coming with Mamelodi Sundowns.
