Barcelona secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over Rayo Vallecano, with Joan Garcia delivering a standout performance that underlined his growing importance.

Rayo threatened from the first minute, exposing Barca's high line, but Garcia reacted quickly to keep the scores level. The hosts struggled to control the tempo early on, with the visitors pressing aggressively and breaking at pace.

The breakthrough came midway through the first half when Ronald Araujo powered home a header from a Joao Cancelo corner. Barcelona pushed for a second, with Raphinha going close, but the game remained finely balanced.

Real Madrid claimed a thrilling 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid, with Vinicius Junior delivering a match-winning display in a pulsating derby.

Madrid started strongly, but Atletico struck first through Ademola Lookman, who finished a swift move to silence the Bernabeu. The hosts responded after the break, as Vinicius converted from the spot following a foul on Brahim Diaz.
