Bayern's latest Bundesliga triumph marks a record-extending 35th German league title - 34 of which have come in the Bundesliga era - and their 13th crown in the past 14 seasons, with only Bayer Leverkusen briefly interrupting their run in 2023/24.

Under Vincent Kompany, Bayern have swiftly reasserted control, winning back-to-back titles in his first two seasons and continuing a period of sustained supremacy that includes their previous record streak of 11 consecutive championships.

The match started evenly, but Stuttgart stunned the home crowd when Chris Fuhrich finished smartly after a well-timed pass from Bilal El Khannouss. Bayern responded like champions, scoring three goals in six devastating minutes before half-time.

Raphael Guerreiro finished from close range after good work by Jamal Musiala, before Nicolas Jackson tapped in following a costly Stuttgart error. Alphonso Davies then added a third with a deflected strike to give Bayern full control before the break.

After half-time, Harry Kane came off the bench and marked his impact with his 32nd league goal of the season.

Stuttgart grabbed a late consolation through Chema Andres, but the title had already been secured as Bayern eased to victory.

Head coach Vincent Kompany praised the effort behind the achievement while insisting his side remain focused on further silverware in the closing weeks of the season.

"It's a great feeling… For me, every title feels like the first, otherwise there's no point in being here at all. These moments take a lot of work… it starts many years earlier. We have to enjoy these moments because there's a lot of hard work behind them."

Despite wrapping up the title with games to spare, Kompany made it clear Bayern's ambitions extend beyond domestic success, with a looming Paris Saint-Germain clash in the Champions League and a key fixture against Bayer Leverkusen still to come.

"The season is not over yet. There are still things to be won… PSG, the defending champions, it's probably the toughest challenge. But before that we have Leverkusen. I don't want to stop here. Now come the decisive weeks.

"We will have enough time to celebrate what we have achieved, but now it is about what we can still achieve... The players have to recover and prepare for Leverkusen. But you can have a glass of red wine in the evening and go to work tomorrow."

In other results, Freiburg kept their European hopes alive with a late win over Heidenheim, while Mainz snatched a stoppage-time draw against Borussia Monchengladbach.
