"Of course, not making the top eight is a disappointment. But it doesn't overshadow the effort the players have put in or the fact that we ended the season with silverware. Not many teams can say they've lifted a trophy this year. That matters."

Since joining the club, Nabi has consistently spoken about long-term development and the need for a strategic rebuild. He reiterated that success under his tenure would be driven by process, not instant results.

"We came here to rebuild. That's not a short-term fix. Whether we win or lose right now, it's about evaluating where we are in our journey to restore Kaizer Chiefs to its rightful place."

With the off-season now underway, Nabi confirmed that internal planning is progressing swiftly, especially around player recruitment.

"We've already had discussions with the Chairman and management. The recruitment department is working hard, and contact has already been made with some of our targets. I won't go into names or numbers, but we are focused on strengthening the squad."

As attention turns to the 2025/26 campaign, expectations remain high. Supporters will be hoping that this season's cup success can serve as a springboard for further growth - and that the foundation being laid by Nabi will soon translate into consistent league performance.
