The 22-year-old midfielder admitted Emery's vision and detailed plans for his development convinced him to make the switch to Villa Park.

Elliott joins the Midlands club on an initial loan deal that includes an obligation to buy for 35 million pounds, ensuring he will become a permanent member of Villa's squad.

Having developed at Liverpool and broken into their first team as a teenager, Elliott now seeks to establish himself as a key figure at Villa.

"Not only that, but his personal achievements as well. I was really drawn to it. I had a conversation with him, and I was blown away by how he spoke to me, how welcoming he was - that made me want it even more.

"I'm really looking forward to working with him. He's been very welcoming, and what he said to me even before I became a Villa player - it really took my heart. It was a feeling within myself that I wanted to be here and play for him. I think the only way to repay that is to work as hard as I can.

"I'm committed to being here. Like Morgan (Rogers) and other players, many have progressed and become international stars. Morgan is one of them. To see how he plays, the confidence he has in his game, and the personal achievements like winning Young Player of the Season - it shows the pathway is there for players like me to reach that level too.
