David Ornstein of The Athletic has reported that the fee matches the expired release clause Tottenham were prepared to meet, and personal terms are nearing completion.

Graeme Bailey, a journalist for TBR Football, has backed these claims, stating that Arsenal have scheduled Eze's medical for Friday. Bailey has said: "I can confirm that Arsenal have agreed terms with Palace, it is the 68 million pounds that Tottenham were willing to do. It had just needed talks about payment terms, but they are now agreed."

He added: "Eze will feature for Palace on Thursday before having a medical at Arsenal on Friday. That’s the plan. Whether Eze does play remains to be seen."

Bailey has also highlighted Eze's enthusiasm for the switch, explaining: "Eze is really excited, it’s one of those situations where it has worked out as he wanted.
