Agbonlahor believes Nunez's struggles could finally solve a lingering "problem" for the Reds.

Agbonlahor, didn't hold back in an interview. "I just don't think he's got that composure," he said. "That's the issue. Liverpool fans love him, but they'll understand. A Saudi team made a hefty offer in January that Liverpool turned down, but I'm sure he'll leave in the summer."

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has backed this up, revealing the Reds were "very close" to offloading Nunez in January before reconsidering.

The Saudi Pro League's interest isn't fading either. Romano added, "Those close to the situation expect Saudi clubs to come back for Nunez in the summer. European sides might also enter the race, but Saudi interest remains strong. There's a real chance he'll go."

Nunez's patchy form—four Premier League goals this season and five big chances missed—has fuelled speculation that Liverpool crave a more clinical finisher.

Meanwhile, the club's official X account stayed silent on the rumours, focusing instead on their latest league results.

Elsewhere, Liverpool face more transfer turbulence. Centre-back Ibrahima Konate has caught Real Madrid's eye, with reports naming him alongside Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite and Juventus' Dean Huijsen on their shortlist.

Real also remain confident of luring Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose Reds contract expires in 2025. On the flip side, Luis Diaz has reportedly told Liverpool he's desperate to sign a new deal, though the club have insisted they won't be rushed.
