Just as the hosts looked to have earned a point, Karl Namnganda struck in the 93rd minute to seal it for Les Fauves.

It was a spirited finish to the qualifiers for the Central Africans, while Chad showed fight in defeat.

Egypt 1–0 Guinea-Bissau

Group A winners Egypt capped an unbeaten qualifying campaign with a professional 1-0 victory over Guinea-Bissau.

Mohamed Hamdy scored the decisive goal in the 10th minute, heading in a pinpoint cross from Ahmed Koka.

Despite resting star man Mohamed Salah, the Pharaohs controlled the match with authority.

Djibouti 1–2 Sierra Leone

Sierra Leone came from behind to defeat Djibouti 2-1 in Casablanca and finish third in their group.

Sallieu Tarawallie netted the winner in the 72nd minute, ensuring a strong finish to the campaign for the Leone Stars.

Burkina Faso 3–1 Ethiopia

Burkina Faso kept their playoff hopes alive with a 3-1 win over Ethiopia, powered by a stunning hat-trick from substitute Pierre Kabore.

Kabore's goals in the 65th, 82nd, and 96th minutes turned the tide after a competitive opening hour.

Biniam Ayten pulled one back for Ethiopia, but the Stallions' attacking firepower proved too strong.

Niger snatched a vital 1-0 win away to Zambia in Ndola, boosting their hopes of a playoff spot.
