The Glamour Boys have rediscovered consistency at the right time. Consecutive victories over Sekhukhune United and AmaZulu have lifted morale at Naturena, with the Soweto giants now unbeaten in their last two league outings at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

A victory in their final fixture would see Chiefs finish the season on 57 points - matching their best league finish in six years and underlining the progress made after disappointing ninth and 10th-place finishes in previous campaigns.

The Durban venue has also become something of a lucky ground for Chiefs this season. The Soweto giants have won every match played there across all competitions during the current campaign, a statistic co-coach Cedric Kaze hopes will continue.

Kaze recently praised the support Chiefs have received in Durban and urged fans to fill the stadium one last time as the team seeks to end the season positively.

For Chippa, the situation is far more tense.

The Eastern Cape outfit enters the final round sitting 13th on the table with 25 points, just one point above the relegation playoff spot. Their poor form - including a recent defeat to Golden Arrows - has left them vulnerable heading into the final weekend.

The Chilli Boys have managed only five league victories all season and have struggled badly in attack, scoring fewer than a goal per game across the campaign.

Adding further uncertainty is the arrival of new head coach Brandon Truter, who takes charge of his first match after being appointed earlier this week. Remarkably, Truter becomes the seventh different coach to lead Chippa during a chaotic season.

A win in Durban would guarantee survival, while a draw may still be enough depending on results elsewhere involving Marumo Gallants and Orbit College.

Chiefs will be forced into attacking changes after losing two important players to suspension.

Congolese winger Glody Lilepo misses out after being sent off during the victory over AmaZulu, despite scoring the winning goal. Striker Flavio Silva is also unavailable due to accumulated yellow cards.

That could open the door for Mduduzi Shabalala and Ranga Chivaviro to start in attack.

At the back, goalkeeper Brandon Petersen remains one of Chiefs' standout performers this season, having played a major role in the clubs strong defensive record.
