Hamburger SV 2-2 Bayern Munich

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich dropped points for the second consecutive match after being held to a draw by a determined Hamburger SV at the Volksparkstadion.

The home side had a bright start to the match and deservedly took the lead at the half hour mark through a Fábio Vieira penalty following a foul by Bayern's Joshua Kimmich.

Kimmich then became provider for the visitors, finding Harry Kane with a neat short pass in the box for the Englishman to bury the equalizer in the 42nd minute.

The Bavarians took the lead in the first minute of the second half after Jamal Musiala finished expertly from a Michael Olise assist.

However, Hamburger SV hit back with an equalizer seven minutes later when Luka Vuskovic powerfully headed in a pinpoint cross.

Both sides had to settle for a draw despite numerous chances created for a winner, with Alphonso Davies clearing a goal bound shot from the line.

The draw keeps Bayern on top of the table while Hamburger moves up to 13th.

Hoffenheim 3-1 Union Berlin

Hoffenheim produced another solid display as they won their seventh consecutive Bundesliga match in the victory over Berlin on Saturday.

The home side took the lead through a Andrej Kramaric 40th minute penalty following a foul on Fisnik Asllani by defender Leopold Querfeld before Kramaric doubled the score four minutes later after a swift counterattack.

Hoffenheim managed to pull away from the visitors shortly after the restart after Union's Diogo Leite unwillingly put the ball in his own net following a low driven cross from Bazoumana Toure.

Berlin rallied for a comeback and were rewarded when a Rani Khedira deflected shot found its way into the net to make the score 3-1.

The result sees Hoffenheim tighten their grip on third spot on the table while Berlin remains ninth.

Eintracht Frankfurt 1-3 Bayer Leverskusen

Bayer Leverkusen produced a clinical first half performance to defeat Frankurt 3-1 at the Deutsche Bank Park on Saturday.

The visitors took a deserved lead through wingbank Arthur in the 26th minute before Malik Tillman doubled the scoreline just six minutes later after a clever Patrick Schick back heel assist.

The host fought back at the start of the second half with Robin Koch scoring from a rebound in the 49th minute to make the score 2-1.

However, a second yellow card to Frankfurt's Ellyes Skhiri allowed the visitors some reprieve, with Alex Garcia adding a third goal for Leverkusen in injury time.

Eintracht Frankfurt remain in eighth position on the table while Leverkusen stay sixth.

In other results on Saturday, Borussia Monchengladbach were held to a late 1-1 draw by Werder Bremen at the Weserstadion.

After a goalless first half, Haris Tabaković fired the visitors into the lead after an hour, but the Bremen grabbed an equaliser in stoppage time through a Keke Topp stunner.

The result keeps Monchengladbach in 12th spot on the table while Werder move up to 15th.

Elsewhere, RB Leipzig were defeated 2-1 at home by a determined Mainz outfit.

The home side took a 40th minute lead when Conrad Harder guided his header into the bottom corner following an Antonio Nusa cross, but Mainz responded from the penalty spot in injury time through Nadiem Amiri.

Congolese forward Silas produced a decisive moment of magic in the 49th minute, giving the visitors the lead in the 49th minute after a brilliant solo run from his own half.

The win moves Mainz four points clear of the relegation spots while Leipzig remain fourth.
