Chippa United 2-0 Durban City

Chippa United claimed a vital 2-0 victory over Durban City in the Betway Premiership on Saturday afternoon at Buffalo City Stadium, with Sinoxolo Kwayiba scoring both goals.

The Chilli Boys were the more enterprising side early on, creating half chances for Sirgio Kammies and Justice Figuareido before taking the lead in the 33rd minute. Kwayiba punished a mistake by goalkeeper Darren Keet to finish into an empty net.

A second defensive error just after the hour mark allowed Kwayiba to complete his brace. The win moves Chippa up to 14th, boosting their survival hopes, while Durban City remain sixth.

Marumo Gallants 0-1 AmaZulu

AmaZulu continued their perfect start to 2026 with a narrow 1-0 victory over Marumo Gallants in Saturday's Betway Premiership clash at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium.

The decisive moment arrived in the 72nd minute when Mlondi Mbanjwa powered home a near-post header from a Riaan Hanamub cross, punishing Gallants for missed chances.

Gallants had enjoyed much of the first-half possession, registering five attempts to AmaZulu's six, with Darren Johnson denying Msindisi Kunene from a free-kick. Washington Arubi was also called into action to save from Thando Ngwenya and Keegan Allan.

Despite dominating the ball after the break, Gallants were wasteful, and AmaZulu's defence held firm under late pressure.

Arthur Zwane's side now sit third, two points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, while Gallants remain 13th, three points above the relegation zone.

Polokwane 2-2 Orbit College

Polokwane City's hopes of a fresh start in 2026 were dashed as they surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2–2 with Orbit College at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.

Thabelo Tshikweta had put the Rise And Shine ahead with a first-half brace, the first after controlling a flick-on from Bonginkosi Dlamini and the second from a rebound off the crossbar.

Orbit College's Mswenko Boyz hit back early in the second half through a penalty by Surprise Ralani and sealed a dramatic equaliser three minutes from time when Atisang Batsi finished from Ayanda Lukhele's cross. Polokwane City remain 8th, while Orbit College stay second from bottom.
