That result extended their unbeaten run to 11 matches across all competitions and kept them firmly in the title conversation, where consistency has become non-negotiable.

Despite their strong position, the pressure on Pirates remains intense. Coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has already delivered two trophies this season, but the league title remains the club's most coveted prize and the ultimate measure of progress. With heavyweight encounters against Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs looming, avoiding a stumble against a resurgent AmaZulu side is vital.
