Magesi are targeting all three points at home to AmaZulu as SuperSport set sights on Sekhukhune

Magesi could move off the foot of the Betway Premiership table with a win at home to AmaZulu on Saturday.

Under Clinton Larsen the club won just one game from his nine games in charge this season, while new head coach Owen da Gama started his tenure with a goaless draw draw away to TS Galaxy last weekend, after a 1-0 defeat under interim coaches Papi Zothwane and Jackie Ledwaba.

AmaZulu also saw a change of manager this campaign as Pablo Franco Martin parted ways after just a handful of games, leaving new co-coaching duo Arthur Zwane and Vusumuzi Vilakazi to pick up the pieces.

Usuthu are in 12th place on the league standings with 13 points - six better off than Magesi, and come into this game on the back of a 2-0 home defeat to Sekhukhune United that left the club

Vilakazi said in the Sowetan: "We will have to put this one under the carpet and focus on the next one again. We have to chin up. We don't have a choice but to come back with three points from our game against Magesi."

Marumo Gallants v Cape Town City

Mushin Ertugral will be looking for a third win in his third game in charge of Cape Town City since taking over from the sacked Eric Tinkler last week.

Tinkler's side had claimed just three wins from their opening 10 matches but Ertugral engineered wins over both Soweto clubs, guiding the Citizens to 1-0 victories over Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates to lift the club into six place with 17 points.

Gallants had seen their head coach, Dan Malesela, take some special leave after their poor start to the season but he is back in the hot seat ahead of this weekend's encounter.

The club are precariously placed in 13th position on the table with just three wins from 12, and were last held to a goalless draw with fellow strugglers Richards Bay.

Ertugral preached caution on iDiski Times: "You can win these two games, and we're gonna have a problem next week.

"I know this is one of our biggest problem, the consistency, the linear in that we need to call up now a little bit more, the automatism, the pattern you know that with automatism is routine comes then that you come in the game."

SuperSport United v Sekhukhune United

SuperSport United could move as high as fifth with a win at home to an inform Sekhukhune United at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium this weekend.

Matsatsantsa have struggled for results this season, drawing four, losing four and winning just two of their opening 10 ties before seeing off both Richards Bay and Magesi in recent weeks.

They were most recently held to a 1-1 draw with Stellenbosch in their last encounter while Sekhukhune continued their good form with a 2-0 victory away to AmaZulu to further cement their place in fourth with six wins from 11 games played.

Sekhukhune coach Lehlohonolo Seema said in the Sowetan: "We are not excited but humble we remain. We've played just 11 games and there's still a long way to go, there's still a lot to come. We are underdogs. We are looking forward to our next game, a difficult one against SuperSport."
