Many expected that life after Pep Guardiola's historic exit from Manchester City would plunge the club into a complex, drawn-out transition period.

4. Carrick remains defiant amid worrying Man Utd start

While a late Matheus Cunha strike rescued a 1–1 draw against Fulham, it marks a highly disappointing start to the 2026/27 campaign for Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick.

Last season, United claimed more points (39) than any other Premier League team after Carrick took charge back in mid-January.
